From the moment we arrived, Linda and Jonathan made us feel like part of the family. Every breakfast was a culinary delight, featuring homemade sausages, fresh bread, and delightful jams. The charming garden and warm hospitality made for a tranquil stay, complemented by the adorable Penny, their dog, whose playful spirit added to the house's warmth.

One minor drawback was the slight distance from York's city center. although it was accessible via a short train ride, some may prefer staying closer to the main attractions.

The king room with a garden view offered a breathtaking view of the well-kept garden, complete with comfortable outdoor seating areas. The small fridge stocked with complimentary fresh milk and chocolate was a nice personal touch, making the stay even more special.

Despite the fantastic atmosphere, the location required a 4.5 km walk to the main attractions, which might be a hassle for those expecting a more central position. while the bathroom was spacious, it could benefit from a few more toiletries to accommodate longer stays.

Felt like family with Linda, Jonathan, and lovely Penny! The homemade cake on arrival was such a sweet touch.

The breakfast spread was a feast with homemade treats. The room felt a bit cramped with two suitcases.

My stay at Grove House Bed & Breakfast was delightful! Linda and Jonathan's warm hospitality made me feel like family. The breakfasts featured a fresh variety, with homemade bread and jams, and their lovely dog Penny added to the charm.

I had to leave too soon.

We had a fab stay! The only downside was carrying our bags up the stairs, but the delicious breakfast made up for it, especially Linda's home-baked bread. Chur!

It was just a perfect match for a weekend outing in York and offered great value for the money. I really enjoyed the homemade fudge waiting for me in the room, a nice touch! Take a stroll in the lovely garden in the evenings.

central location near parks and attractions for great city walks

staying here was a delight, especially with the beautiful garden to unwind in and the delicious homemade treats at breakfast. It's just a short stroll to Rawcliffe Park, which added to my walking adventures around York.

I loved staying here. the homemade treats for breakfast were a delightful start to each day, and the lovely garden offered a peaceful space to unwind with a good book. There were plenty of cozy seating areas outside and a sun terrace to relax in. The only hiccup was a minor delay in room service on the last day, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend trying their breakfast!
